Glazer Takes Decision On Ronaldo As Gomez Joins Manchester City

Manchester United co-chairman, Joel Glazer, has decided not to sell Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, Manchester Evening News reports.

Glazer remains against selling Ronaldo, despite manager Erik ten Hag being open to selling the Portugal captain.

Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford has been up in the air ever since he declared his intention to leave the club earlier in the summer following their failure to qualify for this season’s Champions League.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner joined Man United from Juventus last summer.

Meanwhile, Manchester City on Tuesday confirmed the signing of Sergio Gomez in a deal worth £11m.

Gomez signed a four-year contract at Man City until the summer of 2026.

The left-back joined Pep Guardiola’s side from Anderlecht.

Reacting after completing the deal, Gomez said, “I am incredibly proud and happy to have joined Manchester City.

“City are the best team in England and under Pep Guardiola, I have a chance to learn and develop under the most outstanding manager in world football.”
