Give Liverpool Three Points If Manchester United Game Is Called Iff – Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has called for his team to be awarded the three points if their Premier League fixture at Manchester United is postponed because of fans’ protests.

Around 10,000 United supporters are planning to march before kick-off against owner Joel Glazer.

There are also fears that splinter groups will also try to invade the Old Trafford pitch and block access.

During the 2020/2021 campaign, the United vs Liverpool fixture on May 2, 2021 was called off when a big demonstration led to supporters clashing with police, while other supporters held up the team bus.

The match was rescheduled and the Reds won 4-2, but Klopp feels his side should not be made to squeeze an extra fixture again.

“I really hope it will not happen, but if it happens, I think we should get the points.

“We have nothing to do with the situation if (United) supporters don’t want the game to happen. We can’t just rearrange the game again and try to fit it in somewhere in an incredibly busy period,” he said.
