Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was the center of attention as Vitesse Sparta Rotterdam game ended prematurely.
The 22 year old saved a penalty in the 65th min of the second half to keep his team’s 1-nil lead only for the game to be interrupted by an angry Vitesse fan.
However, Okoye wasted no time in confronting the pitch invader and chased him off the pitch much to the displeasure of some sections of the home fans. A few minutes later, Okoye was floored after a beer bottle was thrown at him from the stands.
The match was stopped to allow the goalkeeper receive treatment before it was later officially suspended by the referee.
