A Nigerian lady known as Chelsea has taken to Twitter to share “then and now” photos of her crossed eyes before undergoing surgery.
The lady whose nickname is Chelsea and identified with the Twitter handle @Elsea20 has narrated a pitiable story of how she was bullied and called “Anya 4:30” by schoolmates, family members, friends and neighbours.
She revealed it took a piece from her heart each time she was mocked and noted it finally led her into depression.
Elsea shared how on a particular day, she left her class in tears and went to her mum’s office with her mother also crying with her.
Later, after researching online and seeing that the condition can be fixed through corrective surgery, she told her father that she wanted to have surgery.
The surgery was eventually done abroad and her sight was corrected.
Chelsea said her new looks have boosted her confidence.
Sharing photos of her eyes before and after the surgery, she advised people to be milder with their words, because they have no idea what they’re going through.
